We were honored to host Elyse Fitzpatrick and Jessica Thompson on March 15-16, 2019 for a conference for women entitled Who Do You Think You Are?
We want to say a big thank you to those who participated in the conference, as well as to the many people who helped to make this conference possible, from organization to food to parking and more. It was a blessing to share this weekend among sisters in Christ.
Whether you were able to come for the conference or not, you are invited to listen to the messages that Elyse Fitzpatrick and Jessica Thompson shared over the course of the weekend. The audio files from the conference may be found here.
Our Identity in Christ
The topic of the conference was the idea of identity. From the magazines in checkout stand to the voices of those we come in contact with to Instagram to our own hearts, we are inundated with opinions about our identity. It is easy to become overwhelmed and discouraged by who we should be versus the reality of who we are.
During the conference we saw that we need to anchor ourselves in the only opinion that really matters, God’s. We explored 20 different verses that proclaim who we are in Christ, and reflected on the fact that when our true identity is unveiled—who God says we are— that changes everything.
Elyse Fitzpatrick holds a certificate in biblical counseling from CCEF (San Diego) and an M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary. She has authored 23 books on daily living and the Christian life. A frequent speaker at women's conferences, she has been married for over 40 years and has three adult children and six really adorable grandchildren.
Jessica Thompson is a frequent conference speaker and the author of several books including Everyday Grace. Her heart is to see women, families, and children freed from the bondage of moralism.
