Summer Opportunities for Youth in 2014

If you're between the ages of 13 and 18, you've got a lot of great options for your summer next year! We'd like to suggest a few of them to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus. And from all we've heard, they're a lot of fun too. You've got great choices, from Providence to Nepal, and lots of places in between.

Start praying about how you can grow as a disciple of Jesus, and make more disciples too. Then check out the options, start talking with your family, and challenge yourself to get out there! God can really use you as He continues to grow His kingdom. Join up. Bring a friend!

Rhode Trip 13-10-26 2

RT is a six-year christian leadership development program. One week each summer RTers escape to the outdoors to meet a new challenge, advancing the journey from boyhood to manhood. As a small team with experienced adult leaders, they explore what the Bible teaches us about leadership and character. In an outdoor setting they face challenges that will force them to rely on teamwork and help build a humble confidence in Christ. In the end, the goal is to love God and love others...back in the real world.

Summer OFF 13-10-26 3

The aim of Summer OFF is to train teens and adults for a lifetime of outreach, to reach kids with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to lay a foundation for church planting in Summer OFF neighborhoods.

Summer OFF (“OFF” stands for “outreach,” friends,” and “faith”) is designed to help teens get equipped for outreach, and then do it. And it’s designed to bring games and the gospel to the kids of Providence during the summer months. Our long-term prayer is that God would use this outreach to be a catalyst for planting new churches in the neighborhoods where we serve.

Think of Summer OFF as part evangelism training, part VBS (outside, and a lot simpler) and part missions trip. It’s designed with Christian teens in mind, to equip them for outreach and give them a big vision of God’s kingdom work. But it’s not just for the Christian teens. We need -- and want -- adults too! Everyone can contribute, learn and benefit from Summer OFF.

  1. Summer OFF 2014 will take place two or three weeks in July.
  2. Cost is $25/person.
